I Talk To Author Burt Kearns On His Book Lawrence Tierney: Hollywood’s Real-Life Tough Guy..Is Lawrence Bad To The Bone Or Just Misunderstood

I had a wonderful time talking to Burt about the Reel AND Real life tough guy Lawrence Tierney. Lawrence was a fascinating man, who could recite poetry, knew all the classics, and was a brawler with multiple arrests. Was he bad to the bone, just b b bad, or misunderstood? His career spanned decades, with lots of droughts in between. Grab a cup of joe, hot chocolate, a glass of vino, or your beverage of choice and have a listen to the story of this interesting dude..

Thanks so much to the fabulous Burt!!

Mostly thanks so much to my listeners.

Much love!

Grace xo

Part 2 Stone Wallace Joins Me Again For The 2022 Spooktacular!! BOO HOO WHHHAHHH BOO!!

Stone and I continue our discussion on a couple horror films from each decade 1920's til today..Not much on today's films because in my opinion they aren't that great. We get our Siskel and Ebert on.. HA!!  We planned on an hour, but we can yak!

Thanks so much to Stone for being my spooktacular guest. He does his Bela Lugosi and Peter Lorre imatations  and he sings us out with Monster Mash. There are some really good flicks for a chilly night. Many, especially the older ones (better ones) are on YouTube. If I link them they will most likely be taken down.

Mostly Thanks to you all that listen.. Extra Thanks to Jamie, Rachel, and dear Daniel.. All three are  listeners from England, that have brightened my days!

Who loves all of you baby?

I do!!

Grace

Watch out for your fur babies on halloween (of course always) there are some real creeps out there..Of course none of us..: ) My dude is a city kitty, so only supervised jaunts down the hall on my floor..

Part 2 I Speak To Author Ryan Uytdewilligen About His Book Killing John Wayne: The PartMaking of the Conqueror..Truly One Of the Worst Films Of All Time..Did Film Kill John Wayne??

I talk to Ryan Uytdewilligan about his wonderful book Killing John Wayne: The Making Of The Conquerer.

It's a fascinating read about one of the most horrible films ever made. John Wayne as Gengis Kahn..What was he thinking?? Also about the film location being where nuclear fallout was. Did over 200 + people die of cancer that worked on the  film because of the nukes? Was it more then 200 +?? Did John Wayne get cancer because of that film, or cigarettes, or a combo of both?? Was Howard Hughes an indirect murderer?? Its also very timely because of the Armageddon talk, then the nomageddon the next day??

I want to thank Ryan so much for coming on the show. You can get his book anywhere books are sold.

I Speak To Brian Hannan From The Blog The Magnificent 60s About The Making Of The Misfits…Clark Gable And Marilyn Monroes Final Film..One more time!!

Here we go again!! Fingers crossed this posts everywhere. Its supposed to finally fixed.

I have sent this show out so many times. The fabulous Rachel emailed me that none of my shows had been loaded to other podcast hosting sites. If this goes through I will fill you in later. Thanks so much RACHEL!!!

show description

I found the delightful Brian while I was searching for info on a really creepy B flick, Stark Fear. When I found the blog I spent a couple hours reading Brian's reviews and behind the scenes info. I had watched the Misfits when I was much younger and did not like it. Now that I'm older, know more about the actors, and life I was deeply moved. Clark Gable thought it was his best film. Unfortunately, he died two weeks after filming at the age of 59. Lots of stuff on Marilyn and her marriage unraveling on the set, and on Montgomery Clift, who Marilyn famously said, was the only person she knew worse off than she was.

Brian is from Scotland and had issues with his microphone, but we were able to get his sound up.

Thanks so much to Brian, he's a sweetie. You can find his blog here
